Dr. Benson worked as a Plastic Surgeon in large medical centers in Brazil and abroad while attending his graduate program. He worked as an on-call doctor for the plastic surgery team at the Emergency Room of HC-FMUSP and attended several plastic surgery services in Germany as a fellow. He practiced for years as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery, responsible for the training and continuing education of plastic surgeons at the Klinikum München Bogenhausen in Munich (one of the largest plastic surgery institutions in Europe), where he focused his learning on the safety and details of plastic surgery. Dr. Benson has a Ph.D. degree (Ph.D. – Doctor of Medicine) from the University of Hamburg, Germany, and a Ph.D. degree in Medicine from the Universidade de São Paulo – USP (University of São Paulo).
