- Second best poster award at the european vitreo-retinal society istanbul, 2004
- Best poster award for a study on the novel Zinc finger protein gene 469 (znf 469) with mutations in advanced keratoconus
- Third best oral presentation award at the 2016 congress in Isparta, Turkey, for the work on curcumin inhibiting apoptosis
