Candan Cantaş was born in Sivas in 1996 and completed her primary and secondary education there. She successfully completed her high school education at Prof. Dr. Necati Ersen Anatolian Teacher Training High School, where she was also awarded. In 2014, she started her 5-year dental education at the Faculty of Dentistry at Cumhuriyet University, and completed it in 2019. She started working as a dentist in the same year, and currently works at Istanbul Dental. Candan aims to provide the best treatment to her patients by using up-to-date knowledge and techniques in her field of expertise. She is also determined to have a successful career by focusing on continuous professional development.

The founder of Smile Academy, Dr. Dr. Yaprak Kalkan was born in Istanbul in 1988. She graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2011. She went to Turku University in Finland to carry out the experiments of her studies on diabetic patients during her doctorate, which she started in the Department of Periodontology of the same university. After working in corporate and VIP health institutions such as Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, she planned to open her own clinic to take her profession to a different point and laid the foundations of Smile Academy. She has many national and international scientific publications and papers. She took part in the management many times in the leading scientific organizations of the profession, such as the 101st FDI World Dental Congress.
