Dr. Antonia Artigues-Barcelo is an Internal Medicine Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Internal Medicine.

After completing her Medical Degree from Universitat Autonoma in Barcelona, Spain, she acquired her Specialisation in Internal Medicine from Hospital Universitari Son Dureta and Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, both in Spain. She has extensive experience in Internal Medicine in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Before moving to the UAE, she was practicing in both private and government Hospitals in Spain, where she implemented different projects, including Autoimmune Systemic Diseases Unit, Palliative Care Unit, and a multidisciplinary management program of hip fractures in older patients. She was also the HOD in Internal Medicine Department.

Since she moved to the UAE, she has been working as an Internal Medicine Consultant in well-known Clinics and Hospitals in Dubai. She has also been an Adjunct Associated Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University (MBRU).

Her scope of expertise includes general internal medicine conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory diseases, anaemias, thyroid conditions, as well as, infection diseases, autoimmune systemic conditions and prevention, detection, and treatment of cardiovascular risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidaemia. Dr. is a Team Leader in Surgical Endocrinology at the Medical University of Vienna and a Specialist in general and visceral surgery. He has a Doctorate in Medicine from 2005 and has held a variety of positions since then, including Assistant Professor, Doctor's Assistant, University Professor, Senior Physician, and Head of the Surgical Endocrinology Working Group. He is a member of several societies and has been awarded the Venia Docendi Award and the Sandoz Award for Thyroid Research.

Dr. has a medical diploma from Uludağ University Medical College, Bursa, Turkey (1983), post-doctoral fellowship in Thermoradiotherapy from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA (1990-1994), and residency in Radiation Oncology from Center of Oncology & Nuclear Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey (1990). He has also held positions as professor, chairman, and faculty accreditation coordinator at Uludağ University Medical College (1991-2005), professor and director at Anadolu Medical Center (2004-2017), and director at Ceylan International Hospital and Medicana Bursa Hospital (2017-present).

Licensed Radiation Oncologist with 8 years of medical training, including undergraduate studies at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (2004-2011) and Radiation Oncology specialization training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (2012-2016). Previous education from Sixteen Numbered Shirvan School (Azerbaijan) High School (1998-2004).

Dr. Raj is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist with 19 years of experience and over 50,000 cancer surgeries performed. He is involved in numerous clinical trials and has many international and national publications to his credit. He specializes in Breast and Thoracic Surgical Oncology and serves as a professor for DNB Superspecialty Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
